Sahih al-Bukhari, 7023

Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Nous étions assis avec le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) quand il a dit : « Pendant que je dormais, je me suis vu au Paradis. Soudain, j’ai vu une femme faire ses ablutions à côté d’un palais. J’ai demandé : “Pour qui est ce palais ?” Ils (les anges) ont répondu : “Il est pour ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab.” Alors, je me suis souvenu de la jalousie de ‘Umar et je suis vite reparti. » En entendant cela, ‘Umar s’est mis à pleurer et a dit : « Que mon père et ma mère soient sacrifiés pour toi, ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Comment pourrais-je imaginer que ma jalousie soit un problème pour toi ? »

Narrated Abu Huraira:We were sitting with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), he said, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself in Paradise. Suddenly I saw a woman performing ablution beside a palace. I asked, "For whom is this palace?" They (the angels) replied, "It is for `Umar bin Al-Khattab." Then I remembered `Umar's ghira and went back hurriedly." On hearing that, `Umar started weeping and said, " Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How dare I think of my Ghira being offended by you?
