حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ وُلِدَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَّا غُلاَمٌ فَسَمَّاهُ الْقَاسِمَ فَقُلْنَا لاَ نَكْنِيكَ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ وَلاَ كَرَامَةَ. فَأَخْبَرَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " سَمِّ ابْنَكَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ ".
Rapporté par Jabir : Un homme parmi nous a eu un fils et l'a appelé Al-Qasim. Nous lui avons dit : « Nous ne t'appellerons pas Abu-l-Qasim, et nous ne te donnerons pas ce respect. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) en a été informé et il a dit : « Donne à ton fils le nom de `Abdur-Rahman. »Narrated Jabir:A boy was born for a man among us, and the man named him Al-Qasim. We said to him, "We will not call you Abu-l-Qasim, nor will we respect you for that." The Prophet (ﷺ) was informed about that, and he said, "Name your son `Abdur-RahmanDegrés donnés par les savants
