Sahih al-Bukhari, 6087

Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète (ﷺ) et a dit : « Je suis perdu car j’ai eu une relation avec ma femme pendant le Ramadan (alors que je jeûnais). » Le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a dit : « Affranchis un esclave. » L’homme a répondu : « Je n’en ai pas les moyens. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Alors, jeûne deux mois consécutifs. » L’homme a dit : « Je ne peux pas. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Alors, nourris soixante pauvres. » L’homme a dit : « Je n’ai rien pour les nourrir. » Ensuite, un grand panier rempli de dattes a été apporté au Prophète. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Où est celui qui a posé la question ? Va et donne ceci en aumône. » L’homme a dit : « (Dois-je le donner en aumône) à quelqu’un de plus pauvre que moi ? Par Allah, il n’y a pas de famille entre ces deux montagnes (de Médine) plus pauvre que la nôtre. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a alors souri jusqu’à ce que ses dents du fond soient visibles, et a dit : « Alors (nourris) ta famille avec. »

Narrated Abu Huraira:A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "I have been ruined for I have had sexual relation with my wife in Ramadan (while I was fasting)" The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to him), "Manumit a slave." The man said, " I cannot afford that." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Then) fast for two successive months continuously". The man said, "I cannot do that." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Then) feed sixty poor persons." The man said, "I have nothing (to feed them with)." Then a big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Where is the questioner? Go and give this in charity." The man said, "(Shall I give this in charity) to a poorer person than l? By Allah, there is no family in between these two mountains (of Medina) who are poorer than we." The Prophet (ﷺ) then smiled till his premolar teeth became visible, and said, "Then (feed) your (family with it)
