حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ ذَكَرَ فِي الإِزَارِ مَا ذَكَرَ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ إِزَارِي يَسْقُطُ مِنْ أَحَدِ شِقَّيْهِ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّكَ لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏

Rapporté par Salim : Son père a dit : « Lorsque le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a parlé de ce qu’il a dit à propos du port de l’Izar (le vêtement autour de la taille), Abu Bakr a dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Mon Izar tombe d’un côté sans que je le veuille.” Le Prophète (ﷺ) a répondu : “Tu ne fais pas partie de ceux qui, par orgueil, traînent leur Izar derrière eux.” »

Narrated Salim:that his father said; "When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) mentioned what he mentioned about (the hanging of) the Izar (waist sheet), Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! My Izar slackens on one side (without my intention)." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You are not among those (who, out of pride) drag their Izars behind them
