Sahih al-Bukhari, 5851

Rapporté par Sa`id Al-Maqburi : 'Ubai bin Juraij a dit à `Abdullah Ben `Umar : « Je vois que tu fais quatre choses que tes compagnons ne font pas. » Ibn `Umar lui a demandé : « Quelles sont-elles, ô Ibn Juraij ? » Il a répondu : « Je vois que tu ne touches que les deux coins yéménites de la Ka`ba pendant le Tawaf ; je te vois porter des chaussures Sabtiyya ; je te vois te teindre les cheveux avec du Sufra ; et je remarque qu’à La Mecque, les gens entrent en état d’Ihram dès qu’ils voient le croissant (le premier jour de Dhul-Hijja), alors que toi, tu n’entres en état d’Ihram que le jour de Tarwiya (8 Dhul-Hijja). » `Abdullah bin `Umar lui a dit : « Pour les coins de la Ka`ba, je n’ai vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ toucher que les deux coins yéménites. Pour les chaussures Sabtiyya, j’ai vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ porter des chaussures en cuir sans poils, et il faisait ses ablutions en les portant. C’est pour cela que j’aime porter ce genre de chaussures. Pour la teinture avec le Sufra, j’ai vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ se teindre les cheveux avec, donc j’aime aussi le faire. Quant au croissant de Dhul-Hijja, je n’ai pas vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ entrer en état d’Ihram avant que sa chamelle ne parte (le 8 Dhul-Hijja). »

Narrated Sa`id Al-Maqburi:'Ubai bin Juraij said to `Abdullah Ben `Umar, "I see you doing four things which are not done by your friends." Ibn `Umar said, "What are they, O Ibn Juraij?" He said, "I see that you do not touch except the two Yemenite corners of the Ka`ba (while performing the Tawaf): and I see you wearing the Sabtiyya shoes; and I see you dyeing (your hair) with Sufra; and I see that when you are in Mecca, the people assume the state of Ihram on seeing the crescent (on the first day of Dhul-Hijja) while you do not assume the state of Ihram till the Day of Tarwiya (8th Dhul Hijja)." `Abdullah bin `Umar said to him, "As for the corners of the Ka`ba, I have not seen Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) touching except the two Yemenite corners, As for the Sabtiyya shoes, I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) wearing leather shoes that had no hair, and he used to perform the ablution while wearing them. Therefore, I like to wear such shoes. As regards dyeing with Sufra, I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) dyeing his hair with it, so I like to dye (my hair) with it. As regards the crescent (of Dhul-Hijja), I have not seen Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) assuming the state of Ihram till his she-camel set out (on the 8th of Dhul-Hijja)
