Sahih al-Bukhari, 540

Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) est sorti alors que le soleil venait de passer son zénith et il a accompli la prière du Zuhr. Ensuite, il est monté sur le minbar et a parlé de l’Heure (le Jour du Jugement) en disant qu’il s’y produirait des choses extraordinaires. Puis il a dit : « Celui qui veut me poser une question peut le faire, et je répondrai tant que je suis ici. » La plupart des gens se mirent à pleurer, et le Prophète (ﷺ) répétait : « Demandez-moi. » `Abdullah bin Hudhafa As-Sahmi s’est levé et a demandé : « Qui est mon père ? » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a répondu : « Ton père est Hudhafa. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a répété : « Demandez-moi. » Puis `Umar s’est agenouillé devant lui et a dit : « Nous sommes satisfaits qu’Allah soit notre Seigneur, l’Islam notre religion, et Muhammad notre Prophète. » Le Prophète est alors resté silencieux et a dit : « Le Paradis et l’Enfer viennent d’être montrés devant moi sur ce mur, et je n’ai jamais vu de chose meilleure que le premier ni de chose pire que le second. »

Narrated Anas bin Malik:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came out as the sun declined at midday and offered the Zuhr prayer. He then stood on the pulpit and spoke about the Hour (Day of Judgment) and said that in it there would be tremendous things. He then said, "Whoever likes to ask me about anything he can do so and I shall reply as long as I am at this place of mine. Most of the people wept and the Prophet (ﷺ) said repeatedly, "Ask me." `Abdullah bin Hudhafa As-Sahmi stood up and said, "Who is my father?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Your father is Hudhafa." The Prophet (ﷺ) repeatedly said, "Ask me." Then `Umar knelt before him and said, "We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad as our Prophet." The Prophet then became quiet and said, "Paradise and Hell-fire were displayed in front of me on this wall just now and I have never seen a better thing (than the former) and a worse thing (than the latter)
