Sahih al-Bukhari, 5284

Rapporté par Al-Aswad : Aisha voulait acheter Barira, mais ses maîtres ont posé comme condition que son wala leur revienne. Aisha en a parlé au Prophète (ﷺ) qui lui a dit : « Achète-la et affranchis-la, car le wala revient à celui qui affranchit. » Un jour, on a apporté de la viande au Prophète (ﷺ) et on lui a dit : « Cette viande a été donnée en aumône à Barira. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « C’est une aumône pour Barira et un cadeau pour nous. » Rapporté par Adam : Shu`ba a raconté le même hadith et a ajouté : Barira a eu le choix concernant son mari

Narrated Al-Aswad:Aisha intended to buy Barira, but her masters stipulated that her wala wound be for them. Aisha mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ) who said (to `Aisha), "Buy and manumit her, for the wala is for the one who manumits." Once some meat was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) and was said, "This meat was given in charity to Barira. " The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It is an object of charity for Barira and a gift for us." Narrated Adam: Shu`ba related the same Hadith and added: Barira was given the option regarding her husband
