Sahih al-Bukhari, 520

Rapporté par `Amr bin Maimun : `Abdullah bin Mas`ud a dit : Pendant qu’Allah's Messager (ﷺ) priait près de la Ka`ba, des membres des Quraish étaient assis ensemble. L’un d’eux a dit : « Ne voyez-vous pas cet homme (qui fait ses actes juste pour se montrer) ? Qui parmi vous peut aller chercher les excréments, le sang et les entrailles des chameaux sacrifiés de la famille d’untel, puis attendre qu’il se prosterne pour les déposer entre ses épaules ? » Le plus malchanceux d’entre eux (`Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait) y est allé, et quand Allah's Messager (ﷺ) s’est prosterné, il a mis cela entre ses épaules. Le Prophète est resté en prosternation et ils ont tellement ri qu’ils sont tombés les uns sur les autres. Un passant est allé prévenir Fatima, qui était alors une jeune fille. Elle est venue en courant et le Prophète (ﷺ) était encore en prosternation. Elle a retiré tout cela et a maudit les Quraish en face d’eux. Quand Allah's Messager (ﷺ) a terminé sa prière, il a dit : « Ô Allah ! Venge-Toi des Quraish. » Il l’a répété trois fois et a ajouté : « Ô Allah ! Venge-Toi de `Amr bin Hisham, `Utba bin Rabi`a, Shaiba bin Rabi`a, Al-Walid bin `Utba, Umaiya bin Khalaf, `Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait et `Umar a bin Al-Walid. » `Abdullah a ajouté : Par Allah ! Je les ai tous vus morts sur le champ de bataille le jour de Badr, traînés et jetés dans le puits (Qalib) à Badr. Allah's Messager (ﷺ) a alors dit : « La malédiction d’Allah est descendue sur les gens du Qalib (puits). »

Narrated `Amr bin Maimun [??]:`Abdullah bin Mas`ud said, "While Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was praying beside the Ka`ba, there were some Quraish people sitting in a gathering. One of them said, 'Don't you see this (who does deeds just to show off)? Who amongst you can go and bring the dung, blood and the Abdominal contents (intestines, etc.) of the slaughtered camels of the family of so and so and then wait till he prostrates and put that in between his shoulders?' The most unfortunate amongst them (`Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait) went (and brought them) and when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prostrated, he put them between his shoulders. The Prophet remained in prostration and they laughed so much so that they fell on each other. A passerby went to Fatima, who was a young girl in those days. She came running and the Prophet (ﷺ) was still in prostration. She removed them and cursed upon the Quraish on their faces. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) completed his prayer, he said, 'O Allah! Take revenge on Quraish.' He said so thrice and added, 'O Allah! take revenge on `Amr bin Hisham, `Utba bin Rabi`a, Shaiba bin Rabi`a, Al-Walid bin `Utba, Umaiya bin Khalaf, `Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait and `Umara bin Al-Walid." `Abdullah added, "By Allah! I saw all of them dead in the battle field on the day of Badr and they were dragged and thrown in the Qalib (a well) at Badr: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then said, 'Allah's curse has descended upon the people of the Qalib (well)
