Sahih al-Bukhari, 4902

Rapporté par Zaid bin Arqam : Quand `Abdullah bin Ubai a dit : « Ne dépensez pas pour ceux qui sont avec le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) », et a aussi dit : « Si nous revenons à Médine... », j’ai informé le Prophète (ﷺ) de ses propos. Les Ansar m’ont reproché cela, et `Abdullah bin Ubai a juré qu’il n’avait rien dit. Je suis rentré chez moi et je me suis endormi. Ensuite, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) m’a appelé et je suis allé le voir. Il m’a dit : « Allah a confirmé ce que tu as dit. » Le verset : « Ce sont eux qui disent : Ne dépensez rien... » (63:7) a alors été révélé

Narrated Zaid bin Arqam:When `Abdullah bin Ubai said, "Do not spend on those who are with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)," and also said, "If we return to Medina," I informed the Prophet (ﷺ) of his saying. The Ansar blamed me for that, and `Abdullah bin Ubai swore that he did not say. I returned to my house and slept. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then called me and I went to him. He said, "Allah has confirmed your statement." The Verse: "They are the one who say: Spend nothing......(63.7) was revealed
