Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète (ﷺ) alors qu'il faisait un sermon et lui a demandé comment faire la prière de nuit. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a répondu : Prie deux rak'at à la fois, puis deux, puis deux, et ainsi de suite. Et si tu crains l'arrivée de l'aube (le moment de la prière du Fajr), prie une rak'a, et cela sera le witr pour toutes les rak'at que tu as priées. » Rapporté par 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar : Un homme a appelé le Prophète (ﷺ) alors qu'il était dans la mosquée

Narrated Ibn `Umar:A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was delivering the sermon and asked him how to offer the night prayers. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, 'Pray two rak`at at a time and then two and then two and so on and if you are afraid of dawn (the approach of the time of the Fajr prayer) pray one rak`a and that will be the witr for all the rak`at which you have prayed."
