Sahih al-Bukhari, 4182

Rapporté par Aisha : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) avait l’habitude d’examiner toutes les femmes croyantes qui avaient émigré vers lui, selon ce verset : « Ô Prophète ! Quand les femmes croyantes viennent à toi pour te prêter allégeance. » (60.12) L’oncle de `Urwa a dit : « On nous a informés qu’Allah a ordonné à Son Messager de rendre aux polythéistes ce qu’ils avaient donné à leurs épouses qui avaient récemment émigré (à Médine), et on nous a informés qu’Abu Basir… » en racontant toute l’histoire

Aisha said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to test all the believing women who migrated to him, with the following Verse:-- "O Prophet! When the believing Women come to you, to give the pledge of allegiance to you." (60.12) `Urwa's uncle said, "We were informed when Allah ordered His Apostle to return to the pagans what they had given to their wives who lately migrated (to Medina) and we were informed that Abu Basir..." relating the whole narration
