حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ كَانَ عَمْرٌو يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ جَاءَ سَيْلٌ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَكَسَا مَا بَيْنَ الْجَبَلَيْنِ‏.‏ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَحَدِيثٌ لَهُ شَأْنٌ‏.‏

Rapporté par le grand-père de Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab : À l’époque préislamique, une pluie torrentielle est tombée et a rempli la vallée entre les deux montagnes autour de la Ka`ba
