Sahih al-Bukhari, 3693

Rapporté par Abu Musa : Alors que j’étais avec le Prophète (ﷺ) dans un des jardins de Médine, un homme est venu et m’a demandé d’ouvrir la porte. Le Prophète (ﷺ) m’a dit : « Ouvre-lui la porte et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle qu’il entrera au Paradis. » J’ai ouvert la porte, et c’était Abu Bakr. Je lui ai transmis la bonne nouvelle du Prophète (ﷺ), et il a loué Allah. Un autre homme est venu et a demandé à entrer. Le Prophète (ﷺ) m’a dit : « Ouvre-lui la porte et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle qu’il entrera au Paradis. » J’ai ouvert, et c’était ‘Umar. Je lui ai transmis la parole du Prophète (ﷺ), et il a loué Allah. Un autre homme est venu et a demandé à entrer. Le Prophète (ﷺ) m’a dit : « Ouvre-lui la porte et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle qu’il entrera au Paradis, mais qu’il subira une épreuve. » C’était ‘Uthman. Je lui ai transmis ce qu’a dit le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). Il a loué Allah et a dit : « Je demande l’aide d’Allah. »

Narrated Abu Musa:While I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) in one of the gardens of Medina, a man came and asked me to open the gate. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me, "Open the gate for him and give him the glad tidings that he will enter Paradise." I opened (the gate) for him, and behold! It was Abu Bakr. I informed him of the glad tidings the Prophet (ﷺ) had said, and he praised Allah. Then another man came and asked me to open the gate. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me "Open (the gate) and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise." I opened (the gate) for him, and behold! It was `Umar. I informed him of what the Prophet (ﷺ) had said, and he praised Allah. Then another man came and asked me to open the gate. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me. "Open (the gate) for him and inform him of the glad tidings, of entering Paradise with a calamity which will befall him. " Behold ! It was `Uthman, I informed him of what Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had said. He praised Allah and said, "I seek Allah's Aid
