Sahih al-Bukhari, 3370

Rapporté par `Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila : Ka`b bin Ujrah m’a rencontré et a dit : « Veux-tu que je t’offre un cadeau que j’ai reçu du Prophète ? » `Abdur-Rahman a répondu : « Oui, donne-le-moi. » J’ai dit : « Nous avons demandé au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) : ‘Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Comment doit-on (demander à Allah de) prier sur toi et les membres de ta famille, car Allah nous a appris comment te saluer (dans la prière) ?’ Il a dit : ‘Dites : Ô Allah ! Accorde Ta miséricorde à Muhammad et à la famille de Muhammad, comme Tu as accordé Ta miséricorde à Abraham et à la famille d’Abraham, car Tu es le Digne de louange, le Glorieux. Ô Allah ! Accorde Tes bénédictions à Muhammad et à la famille de Muhammad, comme Tu as accordé Tes bénédictions à Abraham et à la famille d’Abraham, car Tu es le Digne de louange, le Glorieux.’ »

Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila:Ka`b bin Ujrah met me and said, "Shall I not give you a present I got from the Prophet?" `Abdur- Rahman said, "Yes, give it to me." I said, "We asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How should one (ask Allah to) send blessings on you, the members of the family, for Allah has taught us how to salute you (in the prayer)?' He said, 'Say: O Allah! Send Your Mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Mercy on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious. O Allah! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent your Blessings on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious
