حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَمْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بْنَ قُدَامَةَ التَّمِيمِيَّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قُلْنَا أَوْصِنَا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ. قَالَ أُوصِيكُمْ بِذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ، فَإِنَّهُ ذِمَّةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ، وَرِزْقُ عِيَالِكُمْ.
Rapporté par Juwairiya bin Qudama at-Tamimi : Nous avons dit à `Umar ibn Al-Khattab : « Ô chef des croyants ! Donne-nous un conseil. » Il a répondu : « Je vous conseille de respecter le pacte d’Allah (fait avec les Dhimmis), car c’est le pacte de votre Prophète et la source de subsistance de vos familles (c’est-à-dire les impôts des Dhimmis). »Narrated Juwairiya bin Qudama at-Tamimi:We said to `Umar bin Al-Khattab, "O Chief of the believers! Advise us." He said, "I advise you to fulfill Allah's Covenant (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet and the source of the livelihood of your dependents (i.e. the taxes from the Dhimmis)Degrés donnés par les savants
