Sahih al-Bukhari, 2835

Rapporté par Anas : Les Émigrants et les Ansar ont commencé à creuser le fossé autour de Médine, portant la terre sur leur dos et disant : « Nous sommes ceux qui ont donné l’allégeance à Muhammad pour continuer le Jihad aussi longtemps que nous vivrons. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) répondait sans cesse : « Ô Allah, il n’y a de bien que celui de l’au-delà ; accorde donc Tes bénédictions aux Ansar et aux Émigrants. »

Narrated Anas:The Emigrants and the Ansar started digging the trench around Medina carrying the earth on their backs and saying, "We are those who have given a pledge of allegiance to Muhammad that we will carry on Jihad as long as we live." The Prophet (ﷺ) kept on replying, "O Allah, there is no good except the good of the Hereafter; so confer Your Blessings on the Ansar and the Emigrants
