Sahih al-Bukhari, 2391

Rapporté par Hudhaifa : J’ai entendu le Prophète (ﷺ) dire : « Un homme est mort et on lui a demandé : “Qu’avais-tu l’habitude de faire dans ta vie ?” Il a répondu : “J’étais commerçant et j’accordais un délai aux riches pour rembourser leurs dettes, et je réduisais la dette des pauvres.” Alors il a été pardonné. » Abu Mas`ud a dit : « J’ai entendu le même hadith du Prophète. »

Narrated Hudhaifa:I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Once a man died and was asked, 'What did you use to say (or do) (in your life time)?' He replied, 'I was a businessman and used to give time to the rich to repay his debt and (used to) deduct part of the debt of the poor.' So he was forgiven (his sins.)" Abu Mas`ud said, "I heard the same (Hadith) from the Prophet
