Sahih al-Bukhari, 2368

Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Qu’Allah fasse miséricorde à la mère d’Ismaël ! Si elle avait laissé l’eau de Zamzam telle qu’elle était (sans construire un bassin pour la retenir), (ou il a dit : ‘Si elle n’avait pas pris des poignées de cette eau’), elle serait devenue un ruisseau qui coule. Jurhum (une tribu arabe) est venue et lui a demandé : ‘Pouvons-nous nous installer chez toi ?’ Elle a répondu : ‘Oui, mais vous n’avez pas le droit de posséder l’eau.’ Ils ont accepté. »

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "May Allah be merciful to the mother of Ishmael! If she had left the water of Zamzam (fountain) as it was, (without constructing a basin for keeping the water), (or said, "If she had not taken handfuls of its water"), it would have been a flowing stream.
