Sahih al-Bukhari, 1983

Rapporté par Mutarrif d'après `Imran Ibn Husain : Le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a demandé (à Imran) ou a demandé à un homme pendant qu'Imran écoutait : « Ô Abu un-tel ! As-tu jeûné les derniers jours de ce mois ? » (Le narrateur pensait qu'il avait dit : « le mois de Ramadan »). L'homme a répondu : « Non, ô Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) ! » Le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a dit : « Quand tu auras terminé ton jeûne (du Ramadan), jeûne deux jours (en Shawwal). » Par une autre chaîne de transmetteurs, `Imran a dit : « Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : '(As-tu jeûné) les derniers jours de Sha'ban ? »

Narrated Mutarrif from `Imran Ibn Husain:That the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him (Imran) or asked a man and `Imran was listening, "O Abu so-and-so! Have you fasted the last days of this month?" (The narrator thought that he said, "the month of Ramadan"). The man replied, "No, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "When you finish your fasting (of Ramadan) fast two days (in Shawwal)." Through another series of narrators `Imran said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) said, '(Have you fasted) the last days of Sha'ban?
