Sahih al-Bukhari, 1498

Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Un homme des Bani Israël a demandé à un autre des Bani Israël de lui prêter mille dinars, et il les lui a donnés. Quand le moment de rembourser arriva, le débiteur partit en voyage mais ne trouva pas de bateau, alors il prit un morceau de bois, y fit un trou, mit les mille dinars à l’intérieur et le jeta à la mer. Le créancier ramassa ce morceau de bois pour sa famille afin de l’utiliser comme bois de chauffage. » (Voir hadith n°488 B, vol. 3). Et le Prophète (ﷺ) raconta : « Quand il a scié le bois, il a trouvé son argent. »

Narrated Abu Huraira The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A man from Bani Israel asked someone from Bani Israel to give him a loan of one thousand Dinars and the later gave it to him. The debtor went on a voyage (when the time for the payment of the debt became due) but he did not find a boat, so he took a piece of wood and bored it and put 1000 Dinars in it and threw it into the sea. The creditor went out and took the piece of wood to his family to be used as fire-wood." (See Hadith No. 488 B, Vol. 3). And the Prophet (ﷺ) narrated the narration (and said), "When he sawed the wood, he found his money
