Sunan Abi Dawud, 88

Rapporté par Abdullah ibn al-Arqam : Urwah a rapporté de la part de son père qu’Abdullah ibn al-Arqam est parti en voyage pour le hajj ou la ‘umrah. Il était accompagné de personnes dont il dirigeait la prière. Un jour, alors qu’il dirigeait la prière de l’aube, il leur a dit : « Que l’un d’entre vous avance. » Il s’est alors éloigné pour se soulager. Il a dit : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : “Quand l’un d’entre vous a besoin de se soulager alors que la prière en groupe est prête, qu’il aille d’abord se soulager.” »

Narrated Abdullah ibn al-Arqam: Urwah reported on the authority of his father that Abdullah ibn al-Arqam travelled for performing hajj (pilgrimage) or umrah. He was accompanied by the people whom he led in prayer. One day when he was leading them in the dawn (fajr) prayer, he said to them: One of you should come forward. He then went away to relieve himself. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: When any of you feels the need of relieving himself while the congregational prayer is ready, he should go to relieve himself
