Sunan Abi Dawud, 4729

Rapporté par Jarir b. ‘Abd Allah : Alors que nous étions assis avec le Messager d’Allah ﷺ, il regarda la lune lors d’une nuit de pleine lune, c’est-à-dire la quatorzième nuit, et dit : « Vous verrez votre Seigneur comme vous voyez cette lune, sans aucun doute sur le fait de Le voir. Donc, si vous pouvez éviter d’être empêchés de faire la prière avant le lever du soleil et avant son coucher, faites-le. » Puis il récita : « Glorifie ton Seigneur avant le lever du soleil et avant son coucher. »

Jarir b. ‘Abd Allah said :When we are were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) he looked at the moon on the night when it was full, that is, fourteenth, and said : You will see your Lord as you see this (moon) and have no doubts about seeing him. If, therefore, you can keep from being prevented from prayer before the sun rises and before it sets, do so. He then recited :”Celebrate the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting”
