Sunan Abi Dawud, 4671

Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Un homme parmi les Juifs a dit : « Par Celui qui a choisi Moïse au-dessus de l’univers. » Un musulman a alors levé la main et a giflé le Juif au visage. Le Juif est allé voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et l’a informé. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Ne me placez pas au-dessus de Moïse, car au Jour de la Résurrection, l’humanité tombera évanouie et je ne sais pas si je serai parmi ceux qui se seront relevés avant moi, ou si Allah aura fait une exception pour lui. » Abu Dawud a dit : Le récit d’Ibn Yahya est plus complet

‘Abu Hurairah said :A man from among the Jews said : By him who chose Moses above the universe. So a Muslim raised his hand and slapped the Jew on his face. The Jew went to the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) and informed him. The Prophet (May peace be upon him) said: Do not make me superior to Moses, for mankind (on the Day of Resurrection) will swoon and I will be the know whether he was among those who swooned and had recovered before me, or he was among those of whom Allah had made an exception.
