Sunan Abi Dawud, 4093

Rapporté par Abdur Rahman رضي الله عنه : J’ai demandé à Abu Sa’id al-Khudri رضي الله عنه au sujet du port du vêtement. Il a dit : « Tu t’adresses à celui qui connaît bien ce sujet. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : “Le croyant doit porter son vêtement jusqu’à mi-jambe, et il n’y a pas de péché si cela descend entre cela et les chevilles, mais ce qui est en dessous des chevilles sera en Enfer. Le Jour de la Résurrection, Allah ne regardera pas celui qui laisse traîner son vêtement par orgueil.” »

Narrated Abdur Rahman: I asked Abu Sa'id al-Khudri about wearing lower garment. He said: You have come to the man who knows it very well. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The way for a believer to wear a lower garment is to have it halfway down his legs and he is guilty of no sin if it comes halfway between that and the ankles, but what comes lower than the ankles is in Hell. On the day of Resurrection. Allah will not look at him who trails his lower garment conceitedly
