Sunan Abi Dawud, 4068

Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-‘As رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a vu. Selon la version d’Abu Ali al-Lula’, je pense que je portais un vêtement teint en jaune-rouge. Il a demandé : « Qu’est-ce que c’est ? » Alors je suis allé le brûler. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Qu’as-tu fait de ton vêtement ? » J’ai répondu : « Je l’ai brûlé. » Il a dit : « Pourquoi ne l’as-tu pas donné à une femme de ta famille ? » Abu Dawud a précisé : Thawr l’a rapporté de Khalid en disant : “Rose (muwarrad)”, tandis que Tawus a dit : “Jaune-rouge (mu’asfar)”

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw me. The version of AbuAli al-Lula' has: I think I wore a garment dyed with a reddish yellow colour. He asked: What is this? So I went and burnt it. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: What have you done with your garment? I replied: I burnt it. He said: Why did you not give it to one of your women to wear? Abu Dawud said: Thawr transmitted it from Khalid and said: "Pink (muwarrad)" while Tawus said: "Reddish yellow colour (mu'asfar)
