Sunan Abi Dawud, 4064

Rapporté par Zayd ibn Aslam رضي الله عنه : Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه teignait sa barbe en jaune au point que ses vêtements en étaient imprégnés. On lui a demandé : « Pourquoi utilises-tu cette couleur jaune ? » Il a répondu : « J’ai vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ se teindre avec cette couleur, et rien ne lui plaisait plus que cela. Il teignait tous ses vêtements avec, même son turban. »

Narrated Zayd ibn Aslam: Ibn Umar used to dye his beard with yellow colour so much so that his clothes were filled (dyed) with yellowness. He was asked: Why do you dye with yellow colour? He replied: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) dyeing with yellow colour, and nothing was dearer to him than it. He would dye all his clothes with it, even his turban
