Sunan Abi Dawud, 3401

Abu Dawud a dit : J’ai lu ce récit à Sa’id b. Ya’qub al-Taliqini, et je lui ai dit : Ibn al-Mubarak te l’a transmis de Sa’id Abi Shuja’, qui a dit : ‘Uthman b. Sahl b. Rafi’ b. Khadij me l’a rapporté en disant : J’étais orphelin et j’étais pris en charge par Rafi’ b. Khadij, avec qui j’ai accompli le Hajj. Mon frère ‘Imran b. Sahl est alors venu me voir et m’a dit : Nous avons loué un terrain à untel pour deux cents dirhams. Il a dit : Laisse tomber, car le Prophète ﷺ a interdit la location de terres

Abu Dawud said:I read out (this tradition) to Sa'id b. Ya'qub al-Taliqini, and I said to him: Ibn al-Mubarak transmitted (this tradition) to you from Sa'id Abi Shuja' who said: 'Uthman b. Sahl b. Rafi' b. Khadij narrated it to me saying: I was an orphan being nourished under the guardianship of Rafi' b. Khadij and I performed Hajj with him. My brother 'Imran b. Sahl then came to me and said: We rented out land to so-and-so for two hundred dirhams. He said: Leave it, for the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade renting land
