Sunan Abi Dawud, 3359

Zayd Abu ‘Ayyash a demandé à Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas au sujet de la vente de blé tendre et blanc contre de l’orge. Sa’d a dit : « Lequel des deux est le meilleur ? » Il a répondu : « Le blé tendre et blanc. » Alors il le lui a interdit et a dit : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (sawa) dire, lorsqu’on lui a demandé au sujet de l’achat de dattes sèches contre des dattes fraîches. Le Messager d’Allah (sawa) a dit : “Les dattes fraîches diminuent-elles de volume lorsqu’elles deviennent sèches ?” Les gens ont répondu : Oui. Alors le Messager d’Allah ﷺ l’a interdit. » Abu Dawud a dit : Une tradition similaire a aussi été transmise par Isma’il b. Umayyah

Zayd Abu 'Ayyash asked Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas about the sale of the soft and white kind of wheat for barley. Sa'd said:Which of them is better? He replied: Soft and white kind of wheat. So he forbade him from it and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sawa) say, when he was asked about buying dry dates for fresh. The Messenger of Allah (sawa) said: Are fresh dates diminished when they become dry? The (the people) replied: Yes. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade that. Abu Dawud said: A similar tradition has also been transmitted by Isma'il b. Umayyah
