Sunan Abi Dawud, 3315

Une tradition similaire a aussi été rapportée brièvement par Maymunah, fille de Kardam fils de Sufyan, d’après son père, par une autre chaîne de transmetteurs. Cette version ajoute : (Le Prophète a demandé) : « Y a-t-il une idole là-bas ou une fête préislamique y était-elle célébrée ? » Il a répondu : « Non. » J’ai dit : « Ma mère a fait un vœu et la marche lui est imposée. Puis-je l’accomplir à sa place ? » Parfois, le rapporteur Bashshar disait : « Pouvons-nous l’accomplir à sa place ? » Il a dit : « Oui. »

A similar tradition has also been transmitted in brief by Maimunah daughter of Kardam son of Sufyan on the authority of her father through a different chain of narrators. This version adds:(The Prophet asked): Does it contain an idol or was a festival of pre-Islamic times celebrated there ? He replied: No. I said: This mother of mine has taken a vow and walking (is binding on her). May I fulfill it on her behalf ? Sometimes the narrator Bashshar said: May we fulfill in on her behalf ? He said: Yes
