Sunan Abi Dawud, 314

Rapporté par Aishah رضي الله عنها : Asma’ est entrée auprès du Messager d’Allah ﷺ et a demandé : « Messager d’Allah, comment devons-nous nous laver après la fin des règles ? » Il a dit : « Elle doit prendre de l’eau mélangée à des feuilles de jujubier, faire ses ablutions, se laver la tête en frottant bien pour que l’eau atteigne la racine des cheveux, puis verser de l’eau sur tout son corps. Ensuite, elle doit prendre un morceau de tissu (ou de coton ou de laine) et se purifier avec. » Elle a demandé : « Messager d’Allah, comment dois-je me purifier avec ? » Aishah a dit : J’ai compris ce que le Prophète ﷺ voulait dire de façon imagée, alors j’ai dit à Asma’ : « Enlève les traces de sang. »

Aishah reported:Asma' entered upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah, how should one of us take bath when she is purified from her menses ? He said: She should take water mixed with the leaves of lote-tree; then should perform ablution and wash her head and rub it so much so that water reaches the roots of the hair; she should then our water upon her body. Then she should take a piece of cloth (or cotton or wool) and purify with it. She asked: Messenger of Allah, how should I purify with it ? 'Aishah said: I understood what he (the Prophet) said metaphorically. I, therefore, said to her: Remove the marks of blood
