Sunan Abi Dawud, 2714

Salih bin Muhammad a dit : « Nous sommes partis en expédition avec Al Walid bin Hisham, et Salim bin ‘Abd Allah bin ‘Umar et ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al Aziz étaient avec nous. Un homme avait été malhonnête avec le butin. Al Walid a ordonné de brûler ses biens, et cela a été diffusé parmi les gens. Il ne lui a pas donné sa part. » Abu Dawud a dit : « Ceci est la version la plus authentique des deux traditions. D’autres ont rapporté qu’Al Walid bin Hashim a brûlé la selle de chameau de Ziyad bin Sa’d. Il avait été malhonnête avec le butin et il l’a frappé. »

Salih bin Muhammad said “We went out on an expedition with Al Walid bin Hisham and Salim bin ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umat and ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al Aziz were with us. A man had been dishonest about booty. Al Walid ordered to burn his property and it was circulated (among the people). He did not give him his share. Abu Dawud said “This is sounder of the two traditions. Others narrated that Al Walid bin Hashim burnt the Camel saddle of Ziyad bin Sa’d “He had been dishonest about booty and he beat him.”
