Sunan Abi Dawud, 2354

Rapporté par Abu 'Atiyyah : Masruq et moi sommes entrés chez 'Aishah (la mère des croyants) رضي الله عنها et nous avons dit : « Mère des croyants, il y a deux compagnons du Prophète Muhammad ﷺ. L’un d’eux se dépêche de rompre le jeûne et de prier, tandis que l’autre retarde ces deux actions. » Elle demanda : « Lequel se dépêche de rompre le jeûne et de prier ? » Nous avons répondu : « 'Abd Allah (ibn Mas'ud). » Elle dit : « C’est ainsi que faisait le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. »

Narrated Abu 'Atiyyah:I and Masruq entered upon 'Aishah and we said: Mother of believers, there are two persons from the Companions of the Muhammad (ﷺ). One of them hastens to break the fast and hastens to pray while the other delays to break the fast and delays praying. She asked: Which of them hastens to break the fast and hasten to pray ?
