Sunan Abi Dawud, 2227

Amrah, fille de ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa’d ibn Zurarah, a rapporté d’après Habibah, fille de Sahl al-Ansariyyah : Habibah était l’épouse de Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shimmas. Un matin, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ sortit et trouva Habibah près de sa porte. Il demanda : « Qui est là ? » Elle répondit : « Je suis Habibah, fille de Sahl. » Il demanda : « Que se passe-t-il ? » Elle répondit : « Thabit ibn Qays et moi ne pouvons pas vivre ensemble. » Lorsque Thabit ibn Qays arriva, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ lui dit : « Voici Habibah, fille de Sahl, et elle a dit ce qu’Allah a voulu qu’elle dise. » Habibah dit : « Messager d’Allah, tout ce qu’il m’a donné est encore avec moi. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dit à Thabit ibn Qays : « Prends-le d’elle. » Il le prit donc, et elle retourna vivre parmi sa famille

Amrah, daughter of 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'd ibn Zurarah, reported on the authority of Habibah, daughter of Sahl al-Ansariyyah:She (Habibah) was the wife of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shimmas. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out one morning and found Habibah by his door. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Who is this? She replied: I am Habibah, daughter of Sahl. He asked: What is your case? She replied: I and Thabit ibn Qays, referring to her husband, cannot live together. When Thabit ibn Qays came, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: This is Habibah, daughter of Sahl, and she has mentioned (about you) what Allah wished to mention. Habibah said: Messenger of Allah, all that he gave me is with me. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Thabit ibn Qays: Take it from her. So he took it from her, and she lived among her people (relatives)
