Sunan Abi Dawud, 1234

Rapporté par Ali ibn Abu Talib et Anas ibn Malik : Muhammad a rapporté de son père, Umar, de la part de son grand-père, Ali ibn Abu Talib : Quand Ali voyageait, il continuait jusqu’à ce que la nuit tombe presque, puis il s’arrêtait et faisait la prière du coucher du soleil. Ensuite, il demandait à manger et dînait, puis il priait la prière de la nuit et repartait. Il disait : « C’est ainsi que faisait le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. » Usamah ibn Zayd a rapporté de Hafs ibn Ubaydullah, fils d’Anas ibn Malik : Anas regroupait les deux prières (du coucher du soleil et de la nuit) quand la lueur du soir disparaissait. Il disait : « Le Prophète ﷺ faisait ainsi. » Az-Zuhri a aussi rapporté de façon similaire d’Anas, du Prophète ﷺ

Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib ; Anas ibn Malik: Muhammad reported from his father, Umar, on the authority of his grandfather, Ali ibn AbuTalib: When Ali travelled, he continued to travel till it became nearly dark. He then alighted and offered the sunset prayer. Then he would call for his dinner and eat it. Then he prayed the night prayer and then moved off. He would say: This is how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to do. Usamah ibn Zayd reported from Hafs ibn Ubaydullah, the son of Anas ibn Malik: Anas would combine them (the evening and night prayer) when the twilight disappeared. He said: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to do so. Az-Zuhri also reported similarly on the authority of Anas from the Prophet (ﷺ)
