Surah Faatir · سُوْرَةُ فَاطِرٍ · Juz 22

Q 35:3

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ هَلْ مِنْ خَـٰلِقٍ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Translations

O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?

O hommes! Rappelez-vous le bienfait d'Allah sur vous: existe-t-il en dehors d'Allah, un créateur qui du ciel et de la terre vous attribue votre subsistance? Point de divinité à part Lui! Comment pouvez-vous vous détourner [de cette vérité]?

Tafsir

O people, remember Allah’s favour on you through your hearts and tongues, and through your limbs by action. Do you have any creator besides Allah who provides you from the sky with the water He sends to you and who provides you from the earth with the fruits and crops He grows? There is no true god besides Him. So how after this do you turn away from this truth and fabricate lies against Allah, and claim that Allah has partners when He is the one who created all of you and provides for all of you?

O mankind! Remember the grace of Allah upon you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth? La ilaha illa Huwa. How then are you turning away (from Him)(3) The Evidence of Tawhid Allah shows His servants that they should worship Him Alone, for just as He is Independent in His power of creation and provision, so He should be worshipped Alone with no partners or associates such as idols and false gods. So Allah says: لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ (La ilaha illa Huwa. How then are you turning away (from Him)) meaning, 'how can you turn away from Him after this has been made clear and this proof has been made obvious, but you still worship idols and false gods?' And Allah knows best.
