An-Nawawi's Forty, 30

On the authority of Abu Tha’labah al-Kushanee — Jurthoom bin Nashir (may Allah be pleased with him) — that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Verily Allah ta’ala has laid down religious obligations (fara’id), so do not neglect them; and He has set limits, so do not overstep them; and He has forbidden some things, so do not violate them; and He has remained silent about some things, out of compassion for you, not forgetfulness — so do not seek after them. Selon Abou Tha’laba al-Kouchani — Jurthoum ibn Nashir (qu’Allah l’agrée) — le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Allah a établi des obligations religieuses, ne les négligez pas ; Il a fixé des limites, ne les franchissez pas ; Il a interdit certaines choses, ne les transgressez pas ; et Il s’est tu sur d’autres choses, par miséricorde pour vous et non par oubli, ne cherchez donc pas à les connaître. » Un hadith bon rapporté par ad-Daraqutni et d’autres
