Sunan an-Nasa'i, 5417

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that:The husband of Barirah was a slave called Mughith. It is as if I can see him walking behind her weeping, with the tears running down onto his beard. The Prophet [SAW] said to Al-'Abbas: "O 'Abbas, are you not amazed by the love of Mughith for Barirah and the hatred of Barirah for Mughith?" The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said to her: "Why don't you take him back, for he is the father of your child?" She said: "O Messenger of Allah, are you commanding me (to do so)?" He said: "I am just interceding." She said: "I have no need of him

Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Le mari de Barirah était un esclave appelé Mughith. C'est comme si je le voyais marcher derrière elle en pleurant, les larmes coulant sur sa barbe. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit à Al-'Abbas : « Ô 'Abbas, n'es-tu pas étonné de l'amour de Mughith pour Barirah et de la haine de Barirah pour Mughith ? » Le Messager d'Allah ﷺ lui a dit : « Pourquoi ne le reprends-tu pas, c'est le père de ton enfant ? » Elle a dit : « Ô Messager d'Allah, est-ce un ordre ? » Il a répondu : « J'intercède seulement. » Elle a dit : « Je n'ai pas besoin de lui. »
