Sunan an-Nasa'i, 4432

It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abis that his father said:"I came in to 'Aishah and said: 'Did the Messenger of Allah forbid (eating) the meat of sacrificial animals after three day?' She said: 'Yes Hardship had befallen the people, and the Messenger of Allah wanted the rich to feed the poor.' Then she said: 'I remember the family of Muhammad eating the trotters after fifteen days. I said: 'Why is that" She laughed and said: 'The family of Muhammad never ate their fill of bread and something to go with it, for three days in row, until he met Allah, the Mighty and Sublime,"' (Sahih)

Rapporté par 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abis : « Mon père a dit : Je suis allé voir 'Aishah et j’ai demandé : “Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a-t-il interdit de manger la viande des animaux sacrifiés après trois jours ?” Elle a répondu : “Oui, les gens traversaient une période difficile et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ voulait que les riches nourrissent les pauvres.” Puis elle a ajouté : “Je me souviens que la famille de Muhammad ﷺ mangeait les pieds des animaux après quinze jours.” J’ai demandé : “Pourquoi cela ?” Elle a ri et a dit : “La famille de Muhammad ﷺ n’a jamais mangé à sa faim du pain et d’un accompagnement pendant trois jours de suite, jusqu’à ce qu’il rencontre Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux.” »
