أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنِّي جِئْتُ أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْتُ أَبَوَىَّ يَبْكِيَانِ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏ "‏ ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمَا فَأَضْحِكْهُمَا كَمَا أَبْكَيْتَهُمَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that a man came to the Prophet and said:"I have come pledging to emigrate (Hijrah), and I have left my parents weeping." He said: "Go back to them, and make them smile as you made them weep

Rapporté par 'Abdullah bin 'Amr : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète et a dit : "Je viens te prêter serment pour l’émigration (Hijrah), et j’ai laissé mes parents en pleurs." Il a dit : "Retourne auprès d’eux et fais-les sourire comme tu les as fait pleurer
