Sunan an-Nasa'i, 4081

It was narrated from Qabus bin Mukhariq that his father said:"I heard Sufyan Ath-Thawri narrating this Hadith. He said: 'A man came to the Prophet [SAW] and said: "What if a man comes to me and wants to take my wealth?" He said: "Remind him of Allah." He said: "What if he pays no heed?" He said: "Seek the help of the Muslims around you against him." He said: "What if there are no Muslims around me?" He said: "Seek the help of the ruler against him." He said: "What if the ruler is far away from me?" He said: "Fight to defend your wealth until you either become one of the martyrs of the Hereafter, or you protect your wealth (successfully)

Rapporté par Qabus bin Mukhariq : J’ai entendu Sufyan Ath-Thawri raconter ce hadith. Il a dit : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a demandé : "Et si un homme vient me prendre mes biens ?" Le Prophète ﷺ a répondu : "Rappelle-lui Allah." L’homme a dit : "Et s’il ne fait pas attention ?" Il a répondu : "Demande l’aide des musulmans autour de toi contre lui." L’homme a dit : "Et s’il n’y a pas de musulmans autour de moi ?" Il a répondu : "Demande l’aide du dirigeant contre lui." L’homme a dit : "Et si le dirigeant est loin de moi ?" Il a répondu : "Défends-toi pour protéger tes biens, jusqu’à ce que tu deviennes soit l’un des martyrs de l’au-delà, soit que tu réussisses à protéger tes biens
