Sunan an-Nasa'i, 3794

It was narrated from 'Umar bin Al-Khattab that the Prophet said:"Actions are but by intentions, and each person will have but that which he intended. Thus, he whose emigration was for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, and he whose emigration was to achieve some worldly gain or to take some woman in marriage, his emigration was for that for which he emigrated

Rapporté par 'Umar bin Al-Khattab : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Les actions ne valent que par les intentions, et chacun aura ce qu’il a eu l’intention de faire. Ainsi, celui dont l’émigration était pour Allah et Son Messager, alors son émigration était pour Allah et Son Messager. Mais celui dont l’émigration était pour obtenir un avantage matériel ou pour épouser une femme, alors son émigration était pour ce pour quoi il a émigré. »
