Sunan an-Nasa'i, 3682

It was narrated that An-Nu'man said:"My mother asked my father for a gift and he gave it to me. She said: 'I will not be contented until you ask the Messenger of Allah to bear witness.' So my father took me by the hand, as I was still a boy, and went to the Messenger of Allah. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the mother of this boy, the daughter of Rawahah, asked me for a gift, and she wanted me to ask you to bear witness to that.' He said: 'O Bashir, do you have any other child apart from this one?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Have you given him gifts like that which you have given to this one?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Then do not ask me to bear witness, for I will not bear witness to unfairness

Rapporté par An-Nu'man : "Ma mère a demandé à mon père un cadeau et il me l'a donné. Elle a dit : 'Je ne serai pas satisfaite tant que tu n'auras pas demandé au Messager d'Allah d'en être témoin.' Mon père m'a donc pris par la main, alors que j'étais encore un enfant, et il est allé voir le Messager d'Allah. Il a dit : 'Ô Messager d'Allah, la mère de ce garçon, la fille de Rawahah, m'a demandé un cadeau et elle veut que tu en sois témoin.' Le Prophète a dit : 'Ô Bashir, as-tu d'autres enfants que celui-ci ?' Il a répondu : 'Oui.' Le Prophète a dit : 'Leur as-tu donné des cadeaux comme celui que tu as donné à celui-ci ?' Il a répondu : 'Non.' Le Prophète a dit : 'Alors ne me demande pas d'en être témoin, car je ne témoignerai pas d'une injustice
