Sunan an-Nasa'i, 3484

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:"Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas and 'Abd bin Zam'ah disputed over a boy. Sa'd said: 'O Messenger of Allah! This is the son of my brother 'Utbah bin Abi Waqqas, who made me promise to look after him because he is his son. Look at whom he resembles.' 'Abd bin Zam'ah said: 'He is my brother who was born on my father's bed to his slave woman.' The Messenger of Allah looked to determine at whom he resembled, and saw that he resembled 'Utbah. He said: 'He is for you, O 'Abd! The child is the bed's and for the fornicator is the stone. Veil yourself from him, O Sawdah bint Zam'ah.' And he never saw Sawdah again

Rapporté par 'Aishah : Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas et ‘Abd bin Zam’ah se disputaient au sujet d’un garçon. Sa’d a dit : "Ô Messager d’Allah ! Voici le fils de mon frère ‘Utbah bin Abi Waqqas, qui m’a demandé de veiller sur lui car il est son fils. Regarde à qui il ressemble." ‘Abd bin Zam’ah a dit : "C’est mon frère, né sur le lit de mon père, de sa servante." Le Messager d’Allah a regardé pour voir à qui il ressemblait, et a vu qu’il ressemblait à ‘Utbah. Il a dit : "Il est pour toi, ô ‘Abd ! L’enfant appartient au foyer, et pour l’adultère il n’y a que la pierre. Cache-toi de lui, ô Sawdah bint Zam’ah." Et Sawdah ne l’a plus jamais vu
