Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2884

It was narrated from Abu Ubaidah that his father said:"We were with the Messenger of Allah on the night of Arafat which is before Arafat, when he heard a snake. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Kill it.' It went into a crack in a rock, and we put a stick in and broke part of the hole, then we took some palm tree leave and set them ablaze in the hole. Rapporté par Abu Ubaidah, d’après son père : Nous étions avec le Messager d’Allah la nuit de Arafat, juste avant Arafat, quand il a entendu un serpent. Le Messager d’Allah a dit : "Tuez-le." Il est entré dans une fissure dans un rocher, nous avons mis un bâton et cassé une partie du trou, puis nous avons pris des feuilles de palmier et les avons brûlées dans le trou. Le Messager d’Allah a dit : "Allah l’a protégé de votre mal et vous a protégés de son mal
