Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2873

It was narrated from Anas that:the Prophet entered Makkah during the Umratul-Qada, and Abdullah bin Rawahah was walking in front of him and saying: Get out of his way, you unbelievers, make way. Today we will fight about its revelation With blows that will remove beads from shoulders And make friend unmindful of friends. Umar said to him: "O Ibn Rawahah! In front of the Messenger of Allah and in the Sancturary of Allah, the Might and Sublime, you recite poetry?" The Prophet said: "Let him do so, for what he is saying is more effective than shooting arrows at them

Rapporté par Anas : Le Prophète ﷺ est entré à La Mecque lors de la ‘Umratul-Qada, et Abdullah bin Rawahah marchait devant lui en disant : "Écartez-vous de son chemin, vous les incroyants, faites place. Aujourd’hui, nous combattrons à propos de sa révélation avec des coups qui feront tomber des perles des épaules et qui feront oublier les amis à leurs amis." Umar lui a dit : "Ô Ibn Rawahah ! Devant le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et dans le Sanctuaire d’Allah, le Puissant et le Sublime, tu récites de la poésie ?" Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : "Laisse-le faire, car ce qu’il dit est plus efficace que de leur lancer des flèches
