Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2735

It was narrated that Abu Musa said that:he used to issue Fatwas concerning Tamattu' Then a man said to him: "Withhold some of your Fatwas ,for you do not know what the commander of the Believers introduced into the rites subsequently." Then when I met him, I asked him. 'Umar said: "I know that the Messenger of Allah and his companions did it, but I did not like that people should lay with their wives in the shade of the Arak trees, and then go out for Hajj with their heads dripping

Rapporté par Abu Musa : Il avait l’habitude de donner des avis religieux concernant le Tamattu’. Un homme lui a dit : « Modère certains de tes avis, car tu ne sais pas ce que le commandeur des croyants a changé dans les rites par la suite. » Quand je l’ai rencontré, je lui ai demandé. ‘Umar a dit : « Je sais que le Messager d’Allah et ses compagnons l’ont fait, mais je n’aimais pas que les gens s’allongent avec leurs épouses à l’ombre des arbres d’Arak, puis partent au Hajj avec les cheveux encore mouillés. »
