Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2603

Kahim bin Hizamsaid:"I asked the Messenger of Allah and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me. The he said: 'O Hakim, this wealth is attractive and sweet. Whoever takes it without being greedy, it will be blessed for him, and whoever takes it with avarice, it will be blessed for him. He is like one who eats and is not satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! By the One Who sent you with the truth, I will never ask anyone for anything after you, until I depart this world

Rapporté par Hakim bin Hizam : J’ai demandé au Messager d’Allah et il m’a donné, puis j’ai redemandé et il m’a encore donné. Ensuite, il a dit : « Ô Hakim, cette richesse est attirante et agréable. Celui qui la prend sans avidité, elle sera bénie pour lui, mais celui qui la prend avec avidité, elle ne sera pas bénie pour lui. Il ressemble à quelqu’un qui mange sans jamais être rassasié. Et la main qui donne est meilleure que celle qui reçoit. » J’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah ! Par Celui qui t’a envoyé avec la vérité, je ne demanderai plus rien à personne après toi, jusqu’à ce que je quitte ce monde. »
