Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2538

It was narrated from Abu Musa that the Prophet said:"Every Muslim must give charity." It was said: "What if he cannot find (anything to give)? "He said: "Let him work with his hands and benefit himself and give in charity." It was said: "What if he cannot do that?" He said: "Let him help someone who is in desperate need." It was said: "What if he cannot do that?" He said: "Let him enjoin good." It was said: "What if he cannot do that? He said: "Let him refrain from doing evil, for that is an act of charity

Rapporté par Abu Musa : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : "Chaque musulman doit donner en aumône." On a demandé : "Et s’il ne trouve rien à donner ?" Il a dit : "Qu’il travaille de ses mains, profite à lui-même et donne en aumône." On a dit : "Et s’il ne peut pas faire cela ?" Il a dit : "Qu’il aide une personne dans le besoin." On a dit : "Et s’il ne peut pas faire cela ?" Il a dit : "Qu’il encourage le bien." On a dit : "Et s’il ne peut pas faire cela ?" Il a dit : "Qu’il s’abstienne de faire le mal, car c’est aussi une aumône
