Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2436

Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father, that his grandfather said:"I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, I did not come to you until I had sworn more than this many times" the number of fingers on his hands "that I would never come to you or follow your religion. I am a man who does not know anything except that which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and His Messenger teach me. I ask you by the Revelation of Allah, with what has your Lord sent your to us? He said: "With Islam.' I said: 'What are the signs of Islam?' He said: 'To say, I submit my face to Allah and give up Shirk, and to establish the Salah and to pay the Zakah

Rapporté par Bahz ibn Hakim, de la part de son père, de la part de son grand-père : J’ai dit : "Ô Prophète d’Allah, je ne suis venu à toi qu’après avoir juré plusieurs fois" (en montrant ses doigts) "que je ne viendrais jamais à toi ni ne suivrais ta religion. Je suis un homme qui ne sait rien sauf ce qu’Allah, le Puissant et Sublime, et Son Messager m’enseignent. Je te demande, par la Révélation d’Allah, avec quoi ton Seigneur t’a-t-Il envoyé vers nous ?" Il répondit : "Avec l’Islam." J’ai dit : "Quels sont les signes de l’Islam ?" Il dit : "Dire : Je soumets mon visage à Allah et j’abandonne le polythéisme, accomplir la prière et donner la Zakat
