Sunan an-Nasa'i, 2092

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:"While we were sitting in the Masjid, a man came on a camel and made it keneel in the Masjid, then he hobbled it and said to them: 'Which of you is Muhammad?' The Messenger of Allah was reclining amid his Companions, and we said to him: This white man who is reclining.' The man said to him: 'O son of 'Abdul-Muttalib.' The Messenger of Allah said: ' I have answered you.' The man said; 'O Muhammad, I am going to ask you questions, and I will be harsh in asking; do not get upset.; The man said: 'I adjure you by your Lord and the Lord of those who cam before you, has Allah sent you to all the people?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'By Allah, yes.' He said; 'I adjure you by Allah, has Allah commanded you to offer five prayers each day and night?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'By Allah, yes.; He said: 'I adjure you by Allah, has Allah commanded you to fast this month each year? The Messenger of Allah said: 'By Allah, Yes.' He said: 'I adjure you by Allah, has Allah commanded you to take this charity from our rich and distribute it among our poor?' The Messenger of Allah said. 'By Allah, yes.' The man said: 'I believe in that which you have brought, and I am the envoy of my people who are coming after me. I am Dimam bin Thalabah, the brother of Banu sad bin Bakr."' Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Alors que nous étions assis dans la mosquée, un homme arriva sur un chameau, le fit agenouiller dans la mosquée, l’attacha, puis demanda : « Lequel d’entre vous est Muhammad ? » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ était allongé parmi ses Compagnons et nous lui avons dit : « Cet homme à la peau claire qui est allongé. » L’homme lui dit : « Ô fils d’Abdul-Muttalib. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ répondit : « Je t’écoute. » L’homme dit : « Ô Muhammad, je vais te poser des questions et je serai direct ; ne t’offense pas. » Il dit : « Je t’en conjure par ton Seigneur et le Seigneur de ceux qui t’ont précédé, Allah t’a-t-Il envoyé à tous les peuples ? » Le Messager d’Allah répondit : « Par Allah, oui. » Il demanda : « Je t’en conjure par Allah, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné d’accomplir cinq prières chaque jour et chaque nuit ? » Le Messager d’Allah répondit : « Par Allah, oui. » Il demanda : « Je t’en conjure par Allah, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné de jeûner ce mois chaque année ? » Le Messager d’Allah répondit : « Par Allah, oui. » Il demanda : « Je t’en conjure par Allah, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné de prélever cette aumône de nos riches pour la distribuer à nos pauvres ? » Le Messager d’Allah répondit : « Par Allah, oui. » L’homme dit : « Je crois en ce que tu as apporté, et je suis l’envoyé de mon peuple qui viendra après moi. Je suis Dimam bin Thalabah, le frère de Banu Sa’d bin Bakr. » Yaqub bin Ibrahim l’a contredit
